I first became an avid reader after being introduced to the Hardy Boy series by my grandfather. That series was the inspiration for the DTB Cousin mysteries I wrote with my cousins (Darin and Troy) as a kid. After graduating from high school, I lived in Chile for 2 years doing missionary work. After returning home, I earned a secondary teaching degree with endorsements in Social Studies and Spanish. Since 1996, I have taught Spanish levels 1-4, and continue to enjoy that profession. One of the added benefits of being a teacher is that I can dedicate my summers to my writing. The Narrows Escape is my first published novel.
