Hi, I'm Brandon Carpenter. I'm a Messianic Jewish author, educator, and bi-vocational pastor whose writing invites readers to rediscover Yeshua and the Scriptures through a distinctly Second Temple Jewish lens. I utilize my classroom experience, congregational leadership, and years of study in Jewish and early Christian sources to make complex ideas accessible to everyday believers.

I lives in a small North Texas town. Professionally, I am a pastor of a Messianic congregation in the greater Wichita Falls area and a school teacher in a local public school. This bi-vocational life shapes my conviction that faith must be lived out in ordinary places like classrooms, homes, and workplaces, not only in sanctuaries. As a former evangelical pastor, I grew increasingly burdened to help Christians encounter the Jewish context of the Gospels and of Jesus Himself.

My books grow out of years of teaching Bible studies that explore the Gospels and the New Testament from a Second Temple Jewish and Messianic perspective. My “Messiah” series—developed from a successful 14‑week congregational study—includes works such as Matthew’s Messiah, highlighting Yeshua as Israel’s King, and Mark’s Messiah, emphasizing the Messiah’s service and servanthood. In addition to these volumes, I have written devotional and teaching resources like Presenting the Messiah and Our Jewish Roots, designed to help readers see the unity of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation.

In my studies and writing, I draw deeply from the Tree of Life Version of Scripture, rabbinic literature, Targums, Midrash, and classic Jewish sources, alongside modern Messianic Jewish and biblical scholarship. I frequently engages scholars such as J.K. McKee, D. Thomas Lancaster, Arnold Fruchtenbaum, Michael Heiser, Tim Hegg, Mark Kinzer, David Rudolph, and others, where I integrate their insights into clear, pastoral exposition. My goal is to help readers encounter the Jewishness of Yeshua, appreciate the richness of Torah and the Prophets, and see how the New Testament stands firmly within the story of Israel.

Beyond the page, I create Bible studies, sermons, and liturgical resources for my congregation and for Messianic believers seeking deeper roots. In the public-school classroom, I try to bring the same values of respect, compassion, and responsibility that guide his ministry, seeing education as a way to nurture the whole student.

Whether readers are longtime students of Scripture or just beginning to explore the Jewish roots of their faith, my desire is to offer tools that deepen love for the Messiah and for the people of Israel. I hopes that through my books, readers will discover that understanding the Bible in its original Jewish context does not complicate faith, but clarifies it and makes it more beautiful. ...more
