“Why I let you talk me into these things, I’ll never understand. One day you’re going to get me into some serious trouble," Rowan said, shaking his head.”
Stephanie Beerden, Het Verloren Koninkrijk

“So young and yet already carrying a great burden on her shoulders. Do not worry, my dear, I will make sure you can protect yourself and others. Because you are our hope … sweet, darling … Arima.”
Stephanie Beerden, Het Verloren Koninkrijk

“From the corner of her eyes, Arima could see Leyla putting a hand over her mouth to muffle her giggles, and Myddrin had an amused smile on his face. Of course they would be enjoying this; they weren’t the ones being lectured. Sure, laugh it up, the Lady thought sourly.”
Stephanie Beerden, The Lost Kingdom

“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.”
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

“The person, be it gentleman or lady, who has not pleasure in a good novel, must be intolerably stupid.”
Jane Austen, Northanger Abbey

“Remember, we're madly in love, so it's all right to kiss me anytime you feel like it.”
Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games
