Samuel was born and raised in the small town of Lanaken, Belgium. At 18 he left to study filmmaking in Brussels, specializing in documentary.

After a long-lasting love-hate relationship with his craft and a string of ridiculously incoherent sales jobs he left his homeland for an adventure in Thailand. He started writing down travel stories and rekindled his love for words. After spending two years abroad, starting a clothing business and having a son, he moved to the other side of the world.

He currently lives in San Antonio, Texas with his girlfriend E and his son Noah. When he's not writing stories or articles for his blog, he's exploring the world with his family, producing music or meditating.
