E L Black was raised in Massachusetts and still resides there with her husband, two boys and three dogs. Graduating from Worcester State College with a Bachelor of Science in psychology and from Assumption College with a Master of Arts in education, she worked as a special education teacher for several years. She now follows her passion for writing and has authored several books, including Without You and Nothing's Shocking.
