Natalia Pinazza graduated in languages and literature from the University of São Paulo,Brazil before moving to the United Kingdom in 2007, where she received the Academic Excellence Awards and completed her Masters degree in visual cultures at the University of Bath. In 2008, she received the prestigious Overseas Student Research Awards that fully funded her PhD research in Argentine and Brazilian culture at the University of Bath. In 2012, she was nominated by the Brazilian government as the national candidate for the UNESCO Keizo Obuchi Fellowship Awards which funded her research (March- June 2012) in indigenous visual cultures at the University of Ottawa, Canada. She has given papers at conferences in Europe, Australia, and the Americas.
