Author of novels 'The Chinese Attack' (Vanguard, 2012) and 'Love, Freedom and Death' (Matador, 2013).

'The Chinese Attack' focuses on the Chinese Labour Corps (in which one of my grandfathers was an NCO)on the Western Front in WW1 and through a fictional escapade dramatises the prejudice under which these civilian labourers existed.

'Love, Freedom and Death', also inspired by true events, is a love story set among the Resistance on WW2 Crete, the island where 'Kiwi' Watkins, in the humiliation of defeat in the 1941 Battle, makes a promise to a girl he hardly knows. Two years later he returns to fight the occupying Germans but falls out with his British masters and in love with an unattainable woman.
