M.J. Hook was born and raised in vanilla towns across the Midwest, and discovered immaturely that if you want flavor in life the best waiter to order from is your imagination.

After stuffing himself with fantasy and hurling the glut of his creativity onto drawing paper, canvas, and notepads, what emerged from the heartland was an artistically weird kid with an unhinged imagination.

He manages the creative day-career of art gigolo—designing brands, publications, brochures, illustrations for a variety of clients. But once the sun sinks, he writes, paints, and doodles on walls. Coloring them is much easier than climbing them.
