Todd is a stay-at-home 'hubby' and currently resides in Pittsburgh, Pa, where this book is set. He transplanted there "Temporarily" from Atlanta, Ga in 2009, (Yeah. I'm still here), when the economy and housing market tanked, hitting especially hard in the south. He met his Partner 2.5 years later, trapping him here for good. They love to go to see touring Broadway Shows together for date nights and escape to Disney to visit Mickey and the gang.

Reading was never his favorite as a kid, since he had a learning and reading disability along with other problems. Somewhere along the way, he was guided by his grandmother and taught how to fall into a story, and be consumed by it. That reading can be fun, while learning at the same time.

The Launch of Heart Of Coal

I cannot believe I started writing Heart Of Coal on February 23, 2026, and 4.5 weeks later, my first draft was complete.

After ROUNDS of self-edits, a Beta Reading session with 11 individuals, and several more rounds of edits and proofing, IT IS COMPLETE!!!!

2 Months and 3 Weeks after I wrote my first page, my book was finished with its last edit and started formatting.
