In the original draft of A New Age series, in addition to Aaron visiting the forest of the elves early on, there was a lot of writing about the seafaring nations like the Aghlar, their conflicts with the Pirates. There was even an entire seafaring nation called the Adrans, a fierce people who are ruled by a warrior queen.
