Award-winning Sydney author, Hemat Malak, loved writing poetry as a child. It was not until she experienced the frustrations of an adult life gone wrong, and the blessings that came to turn that around, that she wrote again. Her first two books were collections of angel messages, written from 2011 when, after finding herself alone with two young children (the youngest with additional needs), she embarked on a search for answers that led to a beautiful connection with angels. She felt moved to share the guidance she received, and those books, Your Angels Called and Left a Message and Make Mine Divine both won finalist positions in international awards in 2013 and 2014, and are still available today.
In 2024 Hemat returned to her first love of

This really drew me in. Loved the tone, especially appreciated the sarcasm! The realistic storyline is enhanced by great details that only good research and experience can lend. Recommended!

“Are you looking for me?
I am in the next seat.
My shoulder is against yours.
you will not find me in the stupas,
not in Indian shrine rooms,
nor in synagogues,
nor in cathedrals:
not in masses,
nor kirtans,
not in legs winding around your own neck,
nor in eating nothing but vegetables.
When you really look for me,
you will see me instantly —
you will find me in the tiniest house of time.
