For twenty-one years Phil Baridon worked as a policy analyst for criminal matters in the U.S. Justice Department, specializing in organized and violent crime as well as international drug trafficking. He holds a commercial pilot’s license and is an enrolled member of the Cherokee Nation. Prior jobs included an inner-city cop; a manager in a maximum-security federal facility; and as an assistant professor at American University, with a Ph.D. in criminal justice and an M.A. in criminology. The U.S. Justice Department conferred thirteen major awards on Phil Baridon, one included a personal congratulation by President Clinton. He lives in Virginia, USA.
