As a storyteller and yarnspinner, "Gusty" has appeared at various venues in the state of Arizona. He has appeared at the Arizona Folklore Preserve in Sierra vista with Dolan Ellis, the state balladeer, at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts with state historian Marshall Trimble, and at various cowboy poet gatherin's as well. He has appeared too at the Timpanogos Storytellin' Festival in Orem Utah, the Butterfly Lodge in Greer Arizona, and at the Pioneer Museum north of Phoenix.
"Gusty" McCabe is the pen and stage name used by Paul Larson who moved with his wife Bobbi to Arizona from Wisconsin in 1986. He took an interest in the history and legends of the area and from being a professional speaker he merged into storytelling, thus his career ...more

Again, an introduction to m'self.

There. That's better. I pushed the wrong button the first time.
Well, Gusty McCabe, that's my name and tellin' stories, that's my game. If they all ain't true I ain't to blame, I'll tell 'em all just the same.
And that's what I've been doing for some time now, tellin' tales at various places in and around Arizona.
