Bruce Heard is a game designer and the author of several products for the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game from TSR. More recently, Bruce launched a new project, The World of Calidar, which tells the story of a flying ship and her crew, and depicts Calidar, a fantasy setting for use with role-playing games. It is written to appeal to both fantasy fiction readers and hobby game players. This project's funding on Kickstarter was highly successful, resulting in more than 200% backing. The final project will yield multiple titles, the first of which is planned for June 2014.
