Elizabeth Lamont (pronounced LAMM-unt) is the pen name of Kate Elizabeth Patrick, who has been writing stories since she was six years old. She has read fantasy all her life, and still enjoys a good yarn set in another world. When it comes to influences, Elizabeth often pores over the works of the Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen, George MacDonald, J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Lloyd Alexander, N.D. Wilson, Cornelia Funke, Michael Ende, Shannon Hale, and Gail Carson Levine. One day she hopes to write as exquisitely as they do.
