Junique McKay, RN, MS, CCMHC, is a mother, grandmother, nurse, and psychotherapist with a particularly soft heart for children and animals. She was inspired to write Love Is Like the Moon after seeing her grandson struggle with his parents’ divorce, as so many children do when families change. It is her hope that this gentle story helps children express difficult feelings and opens reassuring conversations between them and the adults who love them. A native New Yorker from Long Island, Junique currently resides in Pennsylvania.
