I adore warm clothes straight from the dryer. Walking through leaves as they fall makes me me very happy, and I am a sucker for pictures of baby hedgehogs (and kittens). I love a dry sense of humor and am from the Appalachian Mountains of Tennessee where my heart still resides, though I find myself in Texas where the people are friendly and the summer heat is not. I am also an author. My historical fiction novel THE SARRINGTON ESTATE can be found on Amazon and elsewhere and I am currently working on two other novels.

“My time with Eli was a sweet sort of agony. It was like the feeling you would get watching a bubble as a child. A thing you can’t help but find magical and beautiful yet it must remain elusive. You can’t try to get too close. You can’t try to touch it lest it pop and be gone forever, but there is nothing you want more than to try. So frustrated you will yourself to hold back and savor it for what it is, a moment of fleeting perfection.”

“Fate has her golden sons, and her bastards.”

“So I left words of forgiveness to God and liars and I enjoyed my hatred.”

“Into the dark night
Resignedly I go,
I am not so afraid of the dark night
As the friends I do not know,
I do not fear the night above
As I fear the friends below.”
Stevie Smith, Selected Poems of Stevie Smith
