Clay Mitchell was born in Lufkin TX and raised in Houston. He went to Waltrip High School where he played football and baseball. He attended college at the University of Texas at Austin, and graduated with a finance degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. His career in finance led him to USAA Financial Services Company in San Antonio, where he has resided since 1988. Clay currently owns Over The Top Window Fashions in San Antonio where he has excelled in window fashion design for both the residential and commercial markets. He has loved the art of creative writing since he was in high school, but had always focused on his career until 2010, when he felt a calling to fulfill a greater purpose.
