Daniel Leblanc-Poirier est né en 1984 au Nouveau-Brunswick. Il a publié en 2007 La lune n'aura pas de chandelier, aux éditions de l'Hexagone, recueil pour lequel il a remporté le prix Félix-Leclerc en 2009. Il a aussi fait paraitre Gyrophares de danse parfaite et Le naufrage des colibris, aux éditions de l'Écrou. Il lance son premier album, Caramel, le 9 décembre 2014.
