I am definitely one of those people who always planned on being a writer when I got older. I earned my undergraduate degrees at the University of Colorado, Boulder, with Bachelor’s in both Mechanical Engineering and English with an emphasis on Creative Writing. Upon finishing my undergraduate education, I had the great good fortune to be accepted into Peace Corps for service in Nepal during the mid-1980s. My experiences travelling throughout the Himalayas began a 12 year-period of travel and exploration. After traveling in India and leaving Nepal when my term of service was done, I travelled to Thailand, coast to coast in the US, and then over to London, where I worked as a stagehand in the Victoria Palace Theater and sold imported items fr ...more
