I grew up in the Northeast Bronx. At the age of eleven, we moved to Mt. Vernon, in Westchester County, and we subsequently moved to Riverdale, New York, which is located along the Hudson River. In 1972, I relocated to Los Angeles, California.

While living in Los Angeles, I met Bernice, and we have been together for thirty-six years.

We have always loved animals, particularly dogs and birds. Over the years, we have had nine dogs: Precious (Yorkshire Terrier), Gretchen (German Shepherd), Joy (Welsh Cardigan Corgi), Willie (Long Haired Chihuahua), Gypsy (Papillion), Mikey (Dandie Dinmont), Crystal (Short Haired Chihuahua), Coco (Short Haired Chihuahua) and Scooter (Maltese).
