J.R. Marshall was born in South Buckinghamshire, England in 1966. Over the years since, apart from attending the obligatory educational facility until old enough to leave, he had studied computer programming, commerce, business studies as well as accountancy (to a reasonable level), and is an ongoing student from the University of life. At an early age he was bitten by the literary bug and as a result he wrote two weekly columns for a local newspaper (with the occasional ad hoc story when the opportunity presented itself).
