Hugues Corriveau est poète, romancier, nouvelliste et essayiste. Cinq fois mis en nomination pour le Prix du Gouverneur général du Canada, entre autres pour Les enfants de Liverpool (Druide, 2015), il a reçu de nombreux prix littéraires, dont le Grand Prix du livre de la Ville de Sherbrooke à trois reprises et le prix Alfred-DesRochers à deux reprises. En 1999, l’Académie des lettres du Québec lui remettait le prix Alain-Grandbois pour son recueil Le livre du frère (Éditions du Noroît, 1998). La fêlure de Thomas est son 33e livre.
