A.C. was born in Miami, Florida to a Bahamian mother and African-American father. For most of her life, she was raised by her mother and grandmother, while playing competitive sports, theatre, and, of course, reading anything she could get her hand on. She has a younger sister and elder brother whom she loves dearly. A.C. moved from Miami to Japan at 21 for language study before finishing a degree in Business Supervision and Management. Upon her graduation, she returned to Japan where she finished the first installment in the Fallen series, Black Falls.
