I grew up in Montreal and now live in British Columbia, Canada. I’ve been married for several decades to my best friend and supporter, Ivor Block, who grew up in South Africa. We met and married on a kibbutz in Israel.

We were vegetarians when we met and are now vegans, passionate about all animals. We have two wonderful grown sons, one beautiful daughter-in-law, and several dear animal rescues. From an early age, I have had the eerie ability to look into the soul of another and see the happiness, pain, joy, sorrow or motivations, which is of course the ideal ability for a novelist. I also write screenplays and have published short stories in "Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine.”
