Gordon was born in Glasgow in the early 60's and spent a pretty uneventful childhood growing up in East Kilbride. Upon leaving school in the early 1980's he embarked upon a journey to become a rock n' roll star. Countless failed demos later, the realisation that he was not destined to become the next Joe Strummer dawned and he took himself off to Ibiza for a while to 'find himself'. It must have worked because, on returning, he decided upon a career in banking.

Although in no way responsible for the global financial crisis, Gordon spent a number of years working for Lloyds TSB and The Royal Bank of Scotland, where he developed a deep understanding of financial markets, strategic planning, office politics and methods to keep yourself awake t ...more
