Science-fiction comes with its very own pantheon of authors. Fathered by ‘Titans’ such as H.G. Wells and Jules Verne, the genre was soon held aloft by great ‘Olympians’ including Arthur C. Clarke and Isaac Asimov. Perhaps I am stretching this Greek mythology metaphor too far when I say that—in my humble opinion—Isaac Asimov stands in the sandals of Zeus where sci-fi is concerned.
