I am a recently retired ex-computer consultant, ex-programmer, ex-lettuce cutter, ex-Goodyear factory process operator, ex-peat salesman, ex-glasshouse worker, (with an NVQ in lettuce growing, no less!) ex -agricultural student, ex-hoer (hoeing weeds, of course!)and ex-apple peeler.

I am also 4-times winner of the 'Bard of Armagh' contest for humorous verse, and the author a (hopefully) funny book about my growing up on a small farm in Ireland in the 1950s. Things were rough,(especially the toilet paper in the 'little shack outback!) with no electricity, no running water (except through the thatch, on a wet night)and the constant battles for control of the back yard with the 'rooster from hell'
