Y.I. Washington was born in Dayton, Ohio and is the middle of three children (and only girl). Introduced to Science Fiction by her father and reading by her mother, Yolanda fell in love with the worlds she encountered in books at an early age.

Not content to just read about these exquisite worlds, Yolanda began writing when she was in high school and found the seeds to a dream.

Now, over 30 years later, Yolanda has finally begun to see the harvest of those seeds. A poet and science fiction writer, Yolanda now strives to write the kind of stories that entertain her.

Yolanda now lives in Atlanta, Ga with her husband, three precocious budgies, and loves to knit, practice yoga, watch and read massive amounts of science fiction, fantasy and comic

PJ White Thanks for your friendship Yolanda.
What's the weather like over in Georgia at the moment? It feels like we haven't seen the sun over here in the UK for a couple of weeks now.

Rgds

Y.I. Washington Hello PJ,

Thanks for accepting my request

Fall is coming, so we're experiencing a cold snap at the moment. The sun is playing hide and seek some of the time. Hopefully I'll see it today.

I noticed on your profile that you're a Whedon fan. What's your favorite series of his? Mine is "Firefly".

PJ White Hi Yolanda,

I think we've watched Buffy and Angel the most frequently, though Firefly is probably our favorite. We were so hacked off when the network cancelled it after only one season. Hopefully though they'll be a sequel to Serenity.

After the success Mr Whedon has had with "Avengers Asemble", I think he'll have a lot more say in what projects he gets to put on the big screen. I just hope he still finds time to write for TV.

Talk to you soon.

All the best

Pete
