“To reach an understanding of Aikido as love, you have to be shinken [completely focused; as if wielding a real sword]. You need to commit yourself, body and soul. Without a wholehearted focus, you won;t be able to effectively love yourself or someone else. You can't half-heartedly achieve a true love. It has to be shinken. It must be real.”

Good comment. I think it will still be a good while before we can get computers to have real intelligence. In part, the biochemical activity of the brain actually has integrative and quantum features that give us abilities that are not yet understood and therefore impossible to program. Perhaps, I'm a biological luddite. So, the book concept that comes from this is the day that "intelligent" machines take over the world, but fail to account for the fact that their opposition will respond in ways the machines had not anticipated...

Thanks for the friend request, Louis. Did you friend-request me because my books involve memory-related speculative science? I confess, I am fascinated by memory and convinced that our human limitation on designing computers with sufficient power/speed is the only limitation on our ability to build a synthetic neural network that actually THINKS--like human thought, I mean. After all, thought is "only" a biochemical-electrical process, right? haha it is that and so much more...and fascinating to ponder. Plus it makes great story fodder for SciFi adventures :)Nice to "friend" you here. Be in touch--not just about spamming your book though. Like other readers on the site, I delete or report authors who just spam me with their book events and sales requests.
