Anas A. Ismael



Anas A. Ismael is a Syrian-Canadian physician, poet, and writer. He lives in the United States, where he continues to practice medicine. Most of his earlier publications were either poems or scientific papers. He began writing his first novel in the spring of 2011, when the Syrian revolution first began. He has a particular interest in ancient history and human rights issues. His dream is to practice medicine in a new Syria, which is free, democratic, just, and at peace with itself and its neighbors.
