A.L. Fontenot is a first-time novelist from Houston, Texas. After the loss of her father in 2008, she was inspired to pursue work in mortuaries and hospice, and the ideas for Moving Heaven were born.

When she is not writing and caring for her daughters, she enjoys cooking cuisines from places she's never been, pondering 'what-if' scenarios, self-diagnosing on the internet and being dragged down the street by her German shepherd.
