Reminded me of Bukowski or Céline. Mesmerizing, abased, and it strikes a strange chord. It’s the kind of book you keep in the bottom of a drawer but always remember to bring with you when you leave.

Just finished reading Melmouth by Sarah Perry. Gothic horror-ish set in Prague now and during WWII. I kept thinking you'd like it better than anyone I know.
