Allison Sojka is an author, illustrator, and graphic designer. Picnic for Parrots is her debut as a children’s book author. Her earlier title, No Worries Whale: a Book of Ocean Poems, written by Amanda Gehrke, with pictures and design by Allison, is a beautifully illustrated book of whimsical and educational children’s poetry, praised for its incorporation into school libraries and elementary school curriculum, with classroom sets proving a valuable asset alongside traditional nonfiction textbooks.
