“An American woman I met told me that when her American husband left her for a Thai woman and took most of their money with him, her Thai friends had a recommendation for her … hire someone to kill him. Apparently her friends were just trying to be helpful. They happened to know some people who were in the murder for hire business. She told her friends that in spite of how angry she was, she would have to decline their offer. Most Americans are not comfortable with murder as a solution to domestic problems.
