George Lerner is author of the debut novel, THE AMBASSADORS, published in September 2014 by Pegasus Books. The novel revolves around a Brooklyn man whose regrets over dealing arms in an African civil war leads him to try to repair the marriage he had once destroyed. Lerner has attended the Tin House Summer Writers Workshop and the New York State Summer Writers Institute. He comes to fiction as a television news producer, for CNN, PBS and others, covering stories in the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan, Vietnam and across the United States. He lives in Brooklyn.
