Makeup Artist by day and Romance and Smut enthusiast by night, J.L. Pleasant was looking for a way to crossbreed her love for LIPSTICK and LITERATURE.

An avid reader since a tender young age, writing came naturally as this only child used her imagination to keep herself entertained. Participating in poetry slams and hosting open mic nights led her to writing monologues and one act plays.

The rise of self-publishing opened new doors and with the constant support of friends, family, Sorority sisters and a close-knit group of esteemed authors and bloggers (known as the SmutSisters), J.L.
