Emma Iadanza has had a love of ancient cultures, languages and reading since she was four years old. She taught herself how to read and write hieroglyphics, and in kindergarten authored and performed her first play about ancient Egypt with her class. Miss Iadanza is also a talented violinist and pianist, and performs in several orchestras in venues including Lincoln Center, the Shanghai Liceum Theater, and Carnegie Hall. Emma was eleven years old when she wrote Lady of Pompeii. She lives on Long Island with her parents, two birds named Lucy and Rocco, and is a foster sister to several generations of red-eared slider turtles.
