Sammantha was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and moved to Macomb, Oklahoma when she was nine. During her time spent in Oklahoma, she participated in sports, youth group and volunteer positions. Her writing career began with simple poems and short stories to pass the time. She wrote a short story in 8th grade called "Forbidden Love" that expanded over 45 pages. It was from that moment that she decided that the writing career was going to be her path. She began writing Senior Year T.V. or Reality her junior year of high school. With the support of her high school English teacher, the story that started out as an assignment soon bloomed into a work of fiction.
