“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” (Philippians 4:6). This is such an extremely popular verse, one that is quoted regularly, but I want you to take a look at what needs to be included with our requests to the Lord—“with thanksgiving.” This verse may be preached until the kingdom comes, but the “with thanksgiving” part is rarely emphasized the way it should be.”
