Robert Glass spent seven years as a Buddhist monk at Shasta Abbey with Jiyu Kennett, the only woman to establish a major Zen lineage in the United States. After returning to lay life and obtaining his Ph.D., he spent two decades traveling the world as a Director and Dean of International Education at Long Island University. He lives in the Catskill Mountains near Woodstock New York.
