Aneeta was born and raised within the sound of London’s Bow Bells; although her family originates from Himachal Pradesh, ‘The Land of the Gods.’

Aneeta's writing stems from her work fighting injustices such as Forced Marriage, Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), Slavery and other forms of torture and oppression worldwide. Aneeta has been instrumental in changing government policy, has given evidence as an expert to Select Committees and was instrumental in ensuring on 16th June 2014 that Forced Marriage was made a criminal offence.
