I’m a Melbourne-based writer (which is the cultural capital of Australia, for international visitors). I range across genres and forms. I recently launched a novel titled Cleopatra’s Daughter, but I put equal time into poetry, short fiction, op eds and essays. I propagate a range of short and long ebooks under the not-quite-pseudonym L.A. Grainger-Brown.

I joined the military straight out of high school, and after leaving took a year to study (and lifeguard, which was fun). I got a grad job at one of the 'Big 4' accounting/consulting firms and stayed there for a few years. I'm still in that 'sort' of work but my dream is to be a full time writer or an academic.
