Desde la aparición del poemario Quijotes ultramarinos (2016) ha mantenido una intensa actividad cultural en diversos recitales, tertulias y eventos realizados por diversas organizaciones culturales. En el 2020 publicó su novela En la última noche yo te amé, la misma que fue destacada por Perú21 como uno de los libros más vendidos por esta casa editorial en su año de lanzamiento y como uno de los mejores libros peruanos de 2021 por el portal internacional Infobae. Montjoy es considerado como una de las voces más interesantes de su generación. Publicó Los monstruos frente al espejo en el 2022 y After Requiem en el 2024.
