Born in Congo - Brazzaville - current Republic of Congo - in 1962, Boniface Mongo-Mboussa is professor of French literature, editor of "Africultures" while he worked at other literary magazines.
He became famous in 2002 with the release of Desire in Africa, published by Gallimard in the series "Dark Continents". Prefaced by the Ivorian Ahmadou Kourouma great writer, this book is the first history of African literature.
