Sergio Blanco es dramaturgo y director teatral franco-uruguayo. Vivió su infancia y adolescencia en Montevideo, y reside actualmente en París. Después de realizar estudios de Filología Clásica, decidió dedicarse por entero a la escritura y a la dirección teatral. Sus obras han sido distinguidas en reiteradas oportunidades con prestigiosos premios, entre ellos, el Premio Nacional de Dramaturgia del Uruguay, el Premio de Dramaturgia de la Intendencia de Montevideo, el Premio Florencio al Mejor Dramaturgo, el Premio Internacional Casa de las Américas y el Premio Theatre Awards al Mejor Texto en Grecia.
