Louis "Lou" Dawson is among North America's best-known ski mountaineers. He has been inducted into the Colorado Ski Hall of Fame, and named by Powder Magazine in 2006 as one of “The Most Influential Skiers of the Past 35 Years.” He was a top North American rock and ice climber of the 1970s, and went on to become the first person to ski down all fifty-four of Colorado’s 14,000-foot peaks.

Dawson has authored numerous magazine articles and award-winning books, and is publisher emeritus of world’s longest-running and best-known backcountry skiing website, WildSnow dot com. He lives in Colorado with his wife Lisa. Learn more about Lou at LouDawson dot com. ...more
