Stephen C. Leckar (J.D., Duke University Law School, 1973; B.S., Georgia State University, 1970) is an attorney at the law firm Kalbian Hagerty, specializing in the fields of federal commercial litigation, criminal defense, employment law and business counseling. Previously he was a trial lawyer for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and has served as an Examiner for the United States Bankruptcy Court.

In 2011, Leckar successfully argued the landmark Supreme Court case of U.S. v. Antoine Jones on the limits of warrantless GPS surveillance under the Fourth Amendment. The unanimous decision in his client’s favor was recognized by the media as the second most important case of the 2012 term, after the Affordable Care Act ruling.
