“I guess so,” said Babcock. He let loose a warm, throaty chuckle, then added, “Face it, we weren’t exactly playing tiddlywinks last night.”
“Well, no,” said Carmela. “But girlfriend just sounds so formal.”
“Friend?” suggested Babcock.
“No, no,” said Carmela. “I really do prefer the former.”
