I am a collector--of people, stories, recipes, dictionaries, books. I have written novels, short stories, a children's book, comic scripts and gaming modules. I've written an IndoPak cookbook. My first novel is a YA quest fantasy. Currently I'm working on a YA horror, YA fantasy, YA SF and an urban fantasy/paranormal. You can go to my website www.bevhale.com to read some of my stories, including the first 4 chapters of my novel, The Essence of Stone. Lately, I'm obsessed with Steampunk and gears and goggles. I now have an Etsy store where I sell Steampunk Accessories. Go to www.Etsy.com and look for Otherwhen Oddities under sellers. You can also see my stuff at my facebook page in photos.

I like to learn things, to try things out. I've mushed

Hi to you, too! I see you like to read and you like movies. I love both. What is your current favorite movie. Right now I love UP. It made me laugh and cry in the same movie. I especially love Dug the Dog. He reminds me of my two dogs.

Have a great holiday.

all best, bev

Beverly I only wish he was mine. Zaboo was part of an exotic animal rescue being sponsored by a Tulsa Science Fiction Convention. We bonded over a banana- never underestimate the power of the banana.

Actually I have 2 dogs- They are far too big to be the lap dogs they think they are. And they want to play most when I'm on the computer. Dog toys dropped onto the keyboard make for interesting new typing.

Always have chocolate!

All best, bev

message 73: by Gail

Gail Koger Hey, what a cute little guy. Bet he keeps you busy. My dogs always decide that my office is a play area when I'm trying to write.

Got chocolate?

Beverly Hi Dena.

Actually, it's a ring-tailed lemur rather than a monkey. I don't actually own him. Zaboo is part of an exotic animal rescue group. They were the charity at a Science Fiction Con at which I was appearing. Loved Zaboo. We bonded over a banana. Never underestimate the power of the banana.

Have a great day! all best, bev

Dena Tyson Hey Beverly... nice to meet you, looking forward to learning and sharing. I like your little monkey... when I saw that it reminded me of my monkey I had when I was a little girl. It was a Capp. Rangtail.

Beverly Thanks for accepting. As for doing different things, well, I just like to try new things. Everything is something I can use in my writing. I love learning new stuff. There are lots of things I haven't done: I don't parachute or hang glide, I suck at music (playing and singing), I'm not big on heights, hate rollercoasters, etc. I think as I get older, I'm more willing to try things as I worry less about looking silly. I know I'm going to look silly---so I might as well do it anyway.

You have a good day as well. all best, bev

Beverly Actually, it's not a pet. Lemurs make lousy pets. It was a part of a group of rescue animals for a wild animal rescue group (which was the charity for a science fiction convention. Zaboo and I bonded over a banana. Never underestimate the power of the banana.

We were buddies all weekend. He was soft and sweet and funny. However, lemurs do not house train well, so I didn't take him home. Also met 2 Russian wolves, a gator, 3 types of skunks, an albino racoon, and some snakes, and a fenix fox.

I loved everything but the gator and the snakes.

Thanks for adding me.
